Tramification syncopée

Video in loop, 4:12 min 

"Tramification syncopée" by Emile Souply, is a 70's retro-scified sculpture located on decks of Metro Station Botanique in Bruxelles. Exploring its colorful network of tubes along a tiled wall, I imagined this being a copy machine which could reproduce my presence and make meeting of different characters possible. The result echoes my experience of retro-gaming and kind of turns a 3D setting to a 2D platform. The soundtrack of this video work is made after field-recording in the metro station focusing on the loop movement of escalators.
